San Diego Genealogical Society's October Speaker--San Diego Swedish Genealogy Seminar

CeCe Moore
San Diego Genealogical Society's October Speaker

The October meeting of the SDGS will be held on Saturday, October 12 and the speaker will be CeCe Moore.  CeCe is an independent professional genetic genealogist currently working as the genetic genealogy consultant on Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. and Genealogy Roadshow.

CeCe Moore
CeCe has a close working relationships with all of the major genetic genealogy testing companies and loves to help others discover more about their family heritage through DNA testing.  Her area of expertise lies in assisting others in understanding Autosomal DNA testing products such as 23andMe's Relative Finder, FTDNA's Family Finder and Ancestry.com's AncestryDNA.  She participated in the beta testing for all three products and is considered an innovator in the use of autosomal DNA for genealogy, frequently consulted by DNA testing companies, genealogists, adoptees and the press.

The topic for her presentation will be "Introduction to DNA Testing for Genealogy".  I attended an all-day seminar that the Chula Vista Genealogy Society conducted with CeCe as the speaker a few months back.  She is an excellent speaker and is one of the most knowledgeable persons you can find on this topic.  We are very fortunate that she lives in the Southern California area and is, therefore, available to us as a speaker.
