SDGS July Meeting

The San Diego Genealogical Society will be holding their July meeting this Saturday 13 July.  Their speaker will be Randy Seaver.  Randy is a native San Diegan, a graduate of San Diego State University, a retired aerospace engineer, a genealogist and a family guy. His wife (Angel Linda) and he have two daughters, and four grandchildren.  Randy, a member of The San Diego Genealogical Society, is well known for his nationally recognized blog Genea-Musings which provides genealogy research tips and techniques, genealogy news items and commentary, genealogy humor, San Diego genealogy society news, family history research and some family history stories.  Genea-Musings has been nationally recognized as one of the top Genealogy Blogs in the nation.

Randy will be giving two presentations on a subject with which he is very familiar and, in fact, I would consider him an expert on this topic.  Outside of the Ancestry people themselves, not many people are more familiar with the effective use of Ancestry.com than Randy.  The specific topics are: Searching Ancestry.com Effectively and Growing Your Ancestry Member Tree.

As an added bonus July is always Ice Cream Social time during the refreshment break, so you will be well entertained and well fed if you attend this Saturday's meeting!  It is held at the St. Andrews Lutheran Church at 8350 Lake Murray Blvd.
